Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Cumin account?

No. Cumin does not require a separate account. Optional sync uses the Apple Account already configured on your devices.

Why is my library not syncing?

Confirm that each device uses the same Apple Account, iCloud Drive and Cumin’s iCloud access are enabled, and the devices have a working connection. Allow time for an initial large library to finish uploading.

How do I import a recipe from the web?

Use Cumin’s website import and provide the recipe page URL, or open the page in your browser and share it to Cumin. Some sites do not publish structured recipe information, so results can vary.

Why does Cumin ask for Reminders access?

Permission lets Cumin create or update grocery items in the Reminders lists you select. You can decline and use the rest of Cumin, or change access later in system settings.

How should I back up my library?

Export a Cumin archive and save it somewhere you control, such as a trusted folder in iCloud Drive. Make a fresh backup before major imports or library changes.

How do I delete my data?

Delete recipes and related content in Cumin, then permanently clear any recoverable items if offered. You can also disable iCloud and permissions in system settings or delete the app to remove its local container. See the privacy choices for details.

Which devices are supported?

Cumin is designed for iPhone, iPad, and Mac running current Apple operating systems. The App Store product page will show the exact compatibility requirements for each release.

Policies and license

Read the privacy policy and data and security policy. Unless a custom license is displayed on the App Store product page, Cumin is offered under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
